Our mission extends beyond the traditional classroom setting by providing students with specialized art making experiences that develop, challenge, enhance and contribute to creative thinking, problem solving, individual expression and personal growth.
Instructors
Gregory J. Barry was born in Hudson, Massachusetts and moved to Tempe, Arizona the summer before entering high school. Theresa (Palmer) Barry grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. Both attended Arizona State University and graduated from the Herberger College of the Arts with degrees in Art and Art Education. Both acquired graduate degrees in Education. Mr. Barry has an emphasis in drawing, painting, photography and sculpture while Mrs. Barry has an emphasis in ceramics, painting and design. Both are active members in the National Art Education Association, and are affiliated with various museums, art leagues, and art associations. In addition to public school educator, Mr. Barry has also worked as adjunct faculty for Fitchburg State University - Art Appreciation and is an Art Consultant for the only publication company dedicated to Art Education; Davis Publications. This offers him an opportunity to stay current in the field of quality Art Education practice and present professional development in-services to Art Educators across the country. Currently both teach at Oakmont Regional High School and collectively have taught in the classroom for nearly 40 years.

Barry Art Studios has offered private, semi-‐private and summer instruction since 2000. Past workshops included drawing, painting, traditional darkroom photography, digital photography, ceramics; hand building & wheel throwing, portfolio prep and more.
